Henri Verger

Henri Verger, the son of a physician, studied at Bordeaux and received his doctorate from that university in 1897. In 1901 he became médecin des hôpitaux in Bordeaux, 1904 agrégé of internal pathology and forensic medicine, 1914 professor of forensic medicine, and 1923 professor of clinical medicine.

With Seillier, Verger was the first to apply bipolar electrolysis as a method for destroying nerve centers; he also worked on thalamus hemianaesthesia, epidemic paralysis, traumatic neuroses, epidemic encephalomyelitis, etc.
