Biography of Cornelis Winkler

Cornelis Winkler attended the University of Utrecht, where he obtained his doctorate in 1879. From 1878 to 1881 he was assistant physician at the hospital in The Hague, from 1881 to 1886 policlinical assistant under Sape Talma (1847-1918). He became lecturer in 1886 and in 1891 was appointed professor of neurology and psychiatry at Utrecht. In 1896 he moved to the same tenure at Amsterdam, but returned to Utrecht in 1915. He was emerited in 1925.

Winkler published more than 200 papers.
