Biography of Victor Morax
Victor Morax first studied in Freiburg im Breisgau, then in Paris, where he became externe in 1888, interne 1890, and was conferred doctor of medicine in 1894. He was appointed Ophtalmologiste des Hôpitaux in 1900, 1903-1928 he worked in the Hôpital Lariboisière. Morax became Attachée à l’Institut Pasteur 1893, 1930 member of the Académie de Médecine.
Morax described the organism causing chronic conjunctivitis simultaneously with Axenfeld, and wrote a book with Henri Huchard (1844-1910), Traité des névroses.
Morax was editor of Annales d’oculistique.
