Biography of Georg Arndt
Georg Arndt first went into surgery, served as ship's physician and then trained in dermatology with Hugues Oltramare (1851-) in Geneva, Raymond Jacques Adrien Sabouraud (1864-1938), Ferdinand Jean Darier (1856-1938), and Louis Ann Jean Brocq (1856-1928) in Paris, as well as with Josef Jadassohn (1863-1936) in Bern. In 1906 he became assistant of Edmund Lesser (1852-1918) at the Berlin Charité clinic, and in 1916 came to Strassburg as ordinarius. In 1919 he was called to Berlin as ordinarius. His work concerns scarred alopezia, lichen nitidus, leucaemic and a-leucaemic lymphadenosis of the skin. He made one of the first descriptions of sporotrichosis.
