Biography of Johann Paul Wurffbain
Johann Paul Wurfbain studied in Altdorf, where he received his license to practise medicine in 1678. He went on educational journeys to the Netherlands and England, and on his return obtained his medical doctorate in Altdorf. He then settled in Nürnberg and became a member of the local Collegium medicum. He was also a member of the Kaiserlich Leopoldinisch-Carolinische Deutsche Akademie der Naturforscher, and Director of the Ephemeriden.
