Biography of Alexander Prussak
Alexander Prussak attended the medical-surgical academy in St. Petersburg, receiving his doctorate in 1862. He then spent two years abroad working in otology. Following his return, in 1870 he received a professorship in this discipline at the Acadmy in St. Petersburg. He retired from his chair in 1863.
Prussak did fundamental work on the the supply of the blood vessels to the eardrum and the conenction between intracranial diseases and ear disturbances.
