Biography of Martin Naboth
Martin Naboth studied medicine in Leipzig. He became doctor of philosophy at Leipzig in 1701 and received his medical doctorate at Halle an der Saale in 1703. He was initially in general practice but also studied anatomy and chemistry. In 1707 he was habilitated at the University of Leipzig, where he became professor extraordinary of chemistry that year, succeeding Johann Christian Schamberg (1667-1706). Besides his tenure, Naboth continued his anatomical studies. He possessed a large anatomical collection.
