Biography of Henri Rouvière
Henri Rouvière, the son of a notary, studied in Montpellier and received his medical doctorate in 1903. In 1910 he became agrégé for Anatomy and embryology at the medical faculty of the University of Paris, where he was professo of anatomy from 1927.
Many of his anatomical works are preserved in the Musée d'Anatomie Delmas-Orfila-Rouvière in Paris.
Besides “his” node, Collège Henri Rouvière in his hometown of Le Bleymard is named in his honor.
