Biography of Fred Bates Lund
Fred Bates Lund graduated A.B. s.c.I. from Harvard University in 1888, and MD from Harvard Medical School in 1892. He was a lecturer on surgery 1908-1916 Harvard Medical School, and from 1916 an associate in surgery. He served during World War I. Lund was a surgeon at Boston City Hospital and surgeon-in-chief at Carney Hospital.
In 1913, Lund presided over the meeting of the Clinical Congress of Surgery at which the American College of Surgeons was founded. Fred Bates Lund was also a classical scholar
