Biography of Henry V
Henry V was the second King of the House of Lancaster, succeeding Henry IV. He is probably most remembered among people of today from the film Henry V 1989) , starring Kenneth Branagh as Henry. Henry’s reign fell within the Hundred Years’ War (1337 to 1453) between England and France. The culmination of his campaign in France was the famous Battle of Agincourt on Friday, October 25, 1415, where Henry won a spectatcular victory, with French losses more than six times the British. Henry V features in three plays by William Shakespeare.
