Biography of Ambrosius von Albertini

Ambrosius von Albertini attended the universities of Zürich and Bern, receiving his doctorate at Zürich in 1919. He was assistant at the sanatory Altein in Arosa and at the pathological institute in Lausanne. He was head physician at the pathological institute in Basel and at the Lausanne prosectorate, and from 1923 physician-in-chief (Prosektor) at the pathological institute at Zürich. He received the Venia legendi for special pathology an pathological anatomy at Zürich in 1928.

His special field of interest was tumours of the bones and the special pathology of tendons, tendon sheaths and mucosal pouches.
