Biography of Friedrich Erwin Becher
Friedrich Erwin Becher studied in Bonn, Münster, Marburg, and Giessen. In the latter city he was conferred doctor of philosophy in 1913, and received his medical doctorate in 1914. He spent his internship and period as assistant physician at the physiological institute at the medical clinic in Giessen, at the medical clinic in Halle, the institute of physiology, the medical clinic and the institute of animal physiology in Munich, the institute of pharmacology in Heidelberg, and the medical clinic in Frankfurt am Main.
He was habilitated for internal medicine in Halle an der Saale and in 1928 became ausserordentlicher professor with teaching duties in introductory courses of internal medicine. He has contributed on a large variety of concerning internal medicine, as well as on morphology and zoology.
