Sterlings phenomenon or reflex
Related people
A variant of Rossolimo's finger sign, differing from this in that the blow with the reflex hammer is done on all four fingers simultaneously, not on one or two fingers, as in Rossolimo's.
The reflex was first described by Sterling in 1926. It was discovered again in 1935 by Rudolf Rosner, who probably had no knowledge of Sterling’s work.
See also Rossolimo's finger sign, under Grigorij Ivanovich Rossolimo, Russian neurologist, 1860-1928.
