A hand abnormality characterized by congenital anonychia, micronychia, or polynychia of the index finger. Inheritance, if any, is uncertain.
Ichiro Kikuchi named the condition congenital onychodysplasia of the index fingers. The term Iso-Kikuchi syndrome was introduced in 1980 by Robert Baran, a French dermatologist in Cannes.
