    A syndrome of peripheral corneal oedema that involves the peripheral 2.0 to 3.0 mm of cornea, sparing the central cornea. Is usually occurs after surgery, particularly intracapsular cataract extraction, but some rare cases have been reported in patients with other predisposing factors. Severe myopia is a frequent complication.
