Denonvilliers' blepharoplasty

Z-plasty. Plastic correction of a defective ala nasi by transferring a triangular flap from the adjacent side of the nose (Dorland's Medical Dictionary). On August 21, 1856, Denonvilliers described the Z-plasty technique as a surgical treatment for lower lid ectropion. Z-plasty is one of many techniques for scar revision and camouflage.
